Wat Huai Pla Kang (วัดห้วยปลากั้ง) Resided here is the crafted sandalwood Bodhisattva Goddess Statue of Guan Yin. Each storey of the pagoda boasts the principal Buddha statues.

To get there: From the provincial city of Chiang Rai, pass the King Mengrai the Great intersection, cross the Kok River Bridge, turn left at the road junction, head to Ban Mai of Tambon Rim Kok, finally, head for Tambon Mae Yao, a distance of 5 kilometres. The temple is on the right side.
